CULTURAL INFLUENCERS
Nancy Pearcey, professor of apologetics and scholar in residence at HCU, spoke this fall for Faith and Law, a Capitol Hill organization, in the U.S. Senate Office Building in Washington DC.
The event was led by Tim Petty, who has served as an Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Interior, a senior advisor to Senator Jim Risch, and is currently a Senior Professional Staff Member on the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee at the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Tim was accompanied by his wife, Elaine Petty, who is associate faculty member at the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics at Georgetown University and works with the Endowment for Community Leadership to help promote the values of faith, family, community and civic responsibility. Previously, Elaine served on the Board of the Center for Bioethics & Culture.
Elaine Petty teaches Pearcey鈥檚 book Love Thy Body in her courses at Georgetown University.
