HBU offers a unique environment for undergraduate students to engage in research projects with the support of faculty mentors. Three students, Sara Zrnikova, Kaitlin Smith, and Jessica Rabius, presented their research at the Texas Chapter of American Sports Medicine Association Annual Meeting in February; Zrnikova went on to present her work at .
Dr. MaryCatherine Harmon, HBU Program Coordinator for Allied Health and Wellness Management, mentored the students. She said, 鈥淩esearch is often deferred to graduate-level work, but we value the opportunity at the undergraduate level. These students have the opportunity to gain valuable insight with their research projects, while preparing for postgraduate and career roles.鈥
