Sarah (Katie) Alaniz, EdDDr. Katie Alaniz, assistant professor of Education, was invited to present at the Texas Computer Education Association’s Campus Technology Specialist Academy on Nov. 14, 2019, in Austin, Texas. Her presentation was entitled, 鈥淐oaching CPR (Content Specific, Pedagogically Sound, Results Based) Saves the Day!鈥 and was created on the basis of the book, “.” This book was co-authored with Dr. Dawn Wilson, professor of Education, and was published by Rowman & Littlefield Education. This presentation was given in loving memory of Dr. Wilson, without whom this book would not have been written. Her life will always be remembered through her teaching, her writing, and especially the legacy carried on by those she so lovingly taught and mentored during her time spent at HBU.

Dr. Alaniz was invited to present at the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education’s World Conference on E-Learning on Nov. 7, 2019, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her presentation was entitled, 鈥淓xploring the Promise of Multimedia to Expand Educators鈥 Perceived Efficacy at Engaging Learners and Enriching Student Achievement,鈥 and was created on the basis of the book, This book was coauthored with Dr. Dawn Wilson, former professor of Education, and Joshua Sikora, assistant professor of Cinema and New Media Arts, and was published by Rowman & Littlefield Education. This presentation was given in loving memory of Dr. Wilson, without whom this book would not have been written. Her life will always be remembered through her teaching, her writing, and especially the legacy carried on by those she so lovingly taught and mentored during her time spent at HBU.
